Education/ Experience
Yan-Ting Lin previously served as a member of the Carbon Fee Rate Review Committee under Taiwan’s Ministry of Environment.
Before joining TCAN, Yan-Ting worked at Solution for Our Climate (SFOC), where he was responsible for Taiwan’s LNG policy research and advocacy.
Prior to that, he spent seven years at the Environmental Rights Foundation (ERF), most recently serving as Director of Climate Change & Just Transition. During his time at ERF, he played a leading role in drafting and advocating for a proposed version of Taiwan’s Climate Change Response Act, with many of its provisions later incorporated into the final legislation.
He is also a plaintiff in an ongoing climate constitutional lawsuit in Taiwan, aiming to hold the government accountable for setting clearer and more enforceable greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets. Yan-Ting holds a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Geography, both from National Taiwan University.
